Privacy SIG: next meeting 17th February 2012

We are looking forward to an exciting year in privacy here in SA, with the anticipated passage of PoPI. To that end, we have invited Anada Louw, Principal State Law Advisor with the SA Law Reform Commission, and one of the key researchers and drafters of our Bill, to come and talk with us about the development and legislative processes. Ananda will be with us as long as the Technical Committee does not need her in Cape Town at the same time.
We will also hear from Jenny Botton, Senior Manager at PwC, with a report on the white paper on PoPI produced from research conducted with PwC clients. The white paper has also been shared with the Technical Committee.
The next meeting of the Privacy SIG will be held at Nedbank head office, 135 Rivonia Road, H Block, meeting room 3 PH2 (directions on www.nedbank.co.za or Google maps)
