The Information Security Group of Africa has partnered with various local and international agencies & organisations to help combat the massive increase in cybercrime. Our objective is to co-ordinate skills & resources across all sectors of South Africa & internationally in order to break the chain of organised cybercrime.
At the Feburary 2010 chapter meeting, ISG chairman Craig Rosewarne launched the eCrime website. The eCrime portal will include an incident management capability that will enable rapid information exchange between members as part of a 24-hour response system. By streamlining the flow of information it will be possible for members to work together to more effectively combat eCrime. The chapter meeting also featured a panel discussion on IT Governance & Information Security. The discussion was followed by the launch of the Deloitte School of Risk Management. We’d like to thank Deloitte for sponsoring the venue.
